Go West, Young Man!

Well it's official. My brother Bryan is moving to California... in two weeks! Sudden I know. He has been desperate to get out there for ages, and since he and Sharon split there is nothing stopping him. So for the past few months he's been looking for jobs out there and places to live.

Well last week he got a 6-month contract offer from a Fortune 500 Company and was on a plane like a shot. He interviewed and they want him so he's leaving in two weeks. I am happy for him but at the same time sad. Out of my three brothers he's the only one I'm close to and now he'll be 6000 miles away. It's just a hard thing to get used to.

On the bright side though I'll have a place to stay in CA when I go to visit. provided he is able to find steady work. I worry about the way in which he is going out there. It just seems so rushed. I dunno. It's not my style that's for sure. I'm too cautious about stuff like that. I can't just pick up and move without having a plan and the guarantee of stability, especially over that great a distance.

Oh, well. We'll see what happens. I wish him the best. And with any luck I'll get the chance to see him before he leaves.
