"Celebate" Good Times
So the new Pope recently announced that he's placing a global ban on Gay priests, because apparently they counter mind the will of God. More like they threaten ignorant, insecure, closet cases who run around pretending to be God or know what God thinks. Oh, yeah and let's not forget that old myth that Gay men molest kids. After all why be even a little open minded and educated about pedophilia and the straight men that commit the crime.
Interestingly enough, Catholics worldwide are panicking because there is already a shortage of priests. Even some of the ultra-conservative crazies are worried about completely banning all Gay priests. After all with fewer and fewer priests whose going to man their pulpits of persecution and keep the hate flowing?
Mind you not all Catholics are ignorant hate mongers, but the church as a whole teaches intolerance and hatred for homosexuals. And no John Paul II's whole "Love them but convince them not to practice" does not count as a "tolerant" message. Besides any tolerant messages that he might have at one time spewed were immediately nullified by his oh-so-loving comments about Homosexuals being part of an "ideology of evil." BTW ever notice how the Pope's white robes conveniently coordinate with the KKK's white robes?
So anyway, back to the now banned Gay priests. While this is obviously a hate-based decision I am for once not offended by it. In fact I am happy. If the church bans and defrocks gay priests this will mean that they have fewer priests to spread their message and do their bidding. And because the church doesn't allow priests to be married or get some good old nooky, most heterosexual, "upstanding" married religious zealots are not going to give up their possessions and pussy to keep the Catholic Crusade going. Which means the church will start hurting and crumbling faster.
As for all of those defrocked Gay priests, that means gentleman that we have fresh supplies of available good men. Who better to date and partner with than a former priest? The guy's prior occupation and way of living was based around single-minded devotion to one man (Jesus) and doing good towards others. That means a lower possibility of cheating and asshole-ish behavior. And just think how happy mom would be to know that you're bringing someone respectable home this year for Christmas!
And let's not take for granted the fact that a defrocked priest will more than likely still have his clerical robes. Which means that those of us with unfulfilled The Thorn Bird's fantasies (Who wouldn't want to hump Richard Chamberlain when he was young?) can at last be satisfied.
No, banning and defrocking Gay priests is a good thing. For once the Pope is actually doing the Gay community a favor! Let us celebrate with the celebates!
