Me And Bridget Jones
So after seeing Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason I have been dying to watch the original again. I really liked this movie but never bought it on DVD. I was a little bit pissed when I watched it a few months ago at Cathy's place that there were scenes I remember seeing in the theatre that were cut out for the DVD release and included as "Extra Deleted Scenes." Some of these scenes were important (I thought) to the continuity of the plot. And I think all of them added more flavor to the movie and would have only made it like 15 minutes longer.
Anyway, so I was dying to watch it again. I don't have a membership to a video rental service only because it is so rare for me to actually have the chance to watch something that paying the fees is really redundant. I'd use the service maybe a handful of times a year.
Well the desire became too strong to resist so I did the unthinkable and ran out to Borders and bought the DVD! I would have gone to Target but the one near me is located in a shopping center on the edge of a low-income housing development and that place is scary and gang infested at night. The price wasn't too bad, about $15, plus it was the "Collector's Edition." So that makes it more justified, sort of...
Well I watched it when I got home and was pissed to discover that the deleted scenes were not put back into the film but still an "Extra Feature" on the DVD. Basically what makes the DVD a "Collector's Edition" is that it has more bonus features. *Sigh*
It was still fun to see the movie again. I can't wait for the The Edge Of Reason to come out on DVD. I really want to go watch it again. Which is unusual for me as I almost never go to the movies and practically never see the same movie twice in the theatres.
