Modems, JPop & Love Matches
Well my modem seems to be fried. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
We have been having very fierce thunderstorms lately and in the very early hours of Friday morning lost our power. Well the power came back on but my modem apparently doesn't have a dial tone anymore. The phone, which is plugged into it, works fine but the computer cannot get it to dial out. I am very upset. Modems aren't cheep and the inconvenience factor is very high.
On an up note I got my Kumi Miyasato Best Collection CD yesterday. I am so very happy. I love Kumi's voice and singing. I only wish she had made more albums, and that they were easier to find.
Tonight Ma and I finally met Bryan's new girlfriend Sharon. Bryan has been divorced exactly a month today, but he has been dating Sharon since January. Both Ma and I agree that this is a bit rebound and he needs to be alone, especially given his rebound history. But he seems happy so who are we to judge.
Sharon is very nice, and VERY bubbly. She is very much like a pixie. It's a bit draining at times. She works for the FBI doing profiling or something like that. I am just not seeing a love match here. Good friends yes, but not lovers.
After dinner we went back to Bryan's townhouse to see how he had fixed it up for the sale. It looks very nice. It's like a completely different house. He and his friends did a very nice job fixing it up. Hopefully he'll be able to get a very good price for it.
